I’ve always said we’re all only a few bad decisions from being homeless ourselves. After working in downtown Orlando, I would always get the names of everyone I met. Most were shocked when I remembered them a month or two later, shook their hands or gave them a hug, and called them by name. After building a few relationships, it’s sad to see exactly how few resources there really are for our homeless population.
My goal here is to help the homeless be seen as the Moms, Dads, Brothers, and Sisters they are. I have an idea for a book I’m putting together. Hopefully, I can use this as a platform to gather content and use the proceeds to help meet some of their basic needs in the future.
