Donate Your Old (or NEW) Generator
We’ll clean it up, get it running, test it out, and deliver it to a community in need once the next hurricane or natural disaster hits, keeping it out of our landfill and giving it a vital second life. If you would like to donate money but designate it for a generator, we’re more than happy to do that too! Thanks in advance!

Generator Tips
After staying with my parents after a couple of hurricanes recently, I learned a thing or two. Flarda is hot and humid. Most homes aren’t set up to be comfortable without AC, and many elderly people aren’t used to the heat.
- Phase 1: A generator to run a refrigerator, TV, and fan can go a long way for a few days after a hurricane.
- Phase 2 of comfort would be all the above, then powering a small portable AC/window unit and your deep freezer.
- Phase 3: Make it an electric start, 220V, so it can power a well for water. The quieter the better, and if it will run 10+ hours through the night so you don’t have to refill it in the middle of the night, you’re golden.
- The next step up would be a whole-home generator or a solar / battery combination that runs the entire home.
